When you place your order, you can expect the following as “standard issue,” but nothing has to be standard. Randy is always happy to build to your specs.
- Neck width at the nut: 1.6875 inches.
- Neck is a full 1/2-round shape that when measured at the nut has a thickness of 0.92 inches down through the 12th fret. (The full 1/2-round shape provides full and total support of the player’s hand, which leads to less hand fatigue.)
- Nut: unbleached bone. (Extra width at nut combined with the 0.92-inch thickness not only makes fingering cord shapes in the first position easier but also provides overall mass that leads to sustain of notes.)
- Fret wire: Stewart MacDonald’s #152.
- Fret markers: 0.25-inch vintage black or vintage clay dots.
- Truss rod: dual-acting heel mounted.
- Tuners: Gotoh #SD91 vintage split shaft.
- Rolled fretboard edges.
- Karge headstock: pays homage to the mule (view from back) and allows ease of holding neck for cords in first position.
- Tweed hardshell case.
