Read for yourself what other talented musicians are saying about Karge.

“The first time I ever played a Karge, Randy leant it to me because he was going to fix the guitar I already owned. I used it to play at a gig, then I never gave it back. It’s not just the quality of the wood — how it looks and feels. The sound’s different. It has a way smoother yet brighter tone than other guitars I’ve played. That tone attacks more, bites more when I lay into it. It’s also a million times less tiring than the guitar I was playing before. Now that one feels like it weighs as much as a boat. The Karge — it’s amazing that a guitar can weigh this little and put out so much tone, feel, good looks. Randy has 100 percent delivered. The Karge even helps me perform better. When I look at it — it’s Daphne blue, vintage — I get excited about it, and if you love the way a guitar looks, you’re going to play it better. Randy is the real deal, and so is the Karge. I don’t anticipate putting it down anytime soon.”

“I tend to be a little bit picky about certain things. I like bigger frets and a flatter fret board radius, but a lot of guitars have smaller frets and a tighter radius. Some modern guitars address this, but I’ve never picked up a guitar off the rack and said, ‘Hey, this is just perfect as is.’ So it was great to be able to work with someone who could build a guitar from scratch specifically to the specs that I like rather than just try to retrofit things piece by piece. It was just such a great process, and Randy got it right from the start. The construction of everything he does is dead on. And it makes me a better guitar player. As a musician I can play on anything, but I felt an immediate connection with both guitars Randy has built for me. It makes all the difference. It gives you a greater connection with every note and every chord that you’re playing — feeling it all within the body of the guitar, all the swells. Before even plugging in a Karge, you can feel the resonance through the body when you start playing, you can feel the vibrations through the instrument. That’s really unique to Randy’s guitars, the way they sustain and resonate a lot more than anything else I’ve ever played. I’m going to be playing these guitars for the rest of my life, for sure. He has built something really special. I feel lucky to have gotten in on the ground floor and have one of the very first models he’s produced.”

“When I heard Randy started building guitars, I went down to his shop to check them out, and my mind was blown. I knew he was a master woodworker, but I didn’t know how that would translate to building a guitar. I’m still kind of in shock about how ridiculously exquisite his guitars are. The first time I picked one up — you just can’t find guitars like that anywhere. There’s nobody on the planet right now building guitars with the attention to detail that Randy gives it. I feel so lucky to be able to play Karge Guitars every night. Since I’ve had my arsenal of Karges, I don’t even pick up other guitars when I’m going to a gig. The Karges just never let me down. The articulation of tone and expressive quality of the instrument is like, I don’t know — it feels like a sense of security I’ve never known in 15 years in the game.

Some guitars, with mass manufacturing, don’t seem to know they’re guitars. The necks warp, things like that. Randy’s guitars have all the vintage mojo right from the first chord. It doesn’t just work well; it’s world class. I never want to play any guitars other than Karge for the rest of my life. When you play a Karge, you get spoiled. You go back to any other guitar, they all seem — not even in the same building. Everything else is out on the lawn.”

“Once I took a Karge home and started playing it, my friend the Strat was retired. I played a Fender Custom Strat for 12 years, but Randy made this gold one, and I haven’t looked back. It’s inspiring. When you pick up a Karge, not only is it bizarrely light, but the output of the tone — it just moves you on every level. The finger board has room to breathe, there’s room to work. It just makes your job so easy. It’s an expressive instrument. The tone just pours out of this guitar. I’ve never felt or heard anything like it. It’s elevated my playing, and resparked my passion for it. Karge has changed the way I look at guitars. The playing, the tone, the craftsmanship — it sets them apart in every way. I’m a believer. I can honestly say that the guitars he’s putting out right now — anything from the Fender custom shop or anywhere else doesn’t even come close.”

“I’m really excited about this relationship that I’ve built with Karge Guitars. I had to have a Karge the first time I played one. Randy puts his heart and soul into making sure that I’m happy with whatever guitar he builds for me. He puts so much love into it. You know you’re getting quality every time you pick up one of his instruments.”
